Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has tested positive for coronavirus, says France manager Didier Deschamps.

The 27-year-old will have to self-isolate and will be unavailable for France’s Nations League fixtures.

He had been named in the world champions’ squad for upcoming fixtures against Croatia and Sweden but has now been forced to withdraw from consideration for selection.

Pogba has been replaced in Deschamps’ squad by Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, while international team mate Tanguy Ndombele of Tottenham Hotspur also misses out after testing positive for Covid-19.

France travel to Sweden for their opening Nations League match on Saturday, 5 September.
