The 1st Vice President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has revealed that his foundation – Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation – will yet again lend out a helping hand to indigent children this year, despite the fact that Covid-19 outbreak has affected the Foundation’s initial plan for the year
He said this while featuring as a guest on an Instagram live interview session with Football Fans Club of Nigeria (FFCN), via the fan club’s handle @officialfootballfansclub.
“This year (despite the disruption Coronavirus has caused) we will still feed about a thousand children at the end of the year for their own sort of End of the year party.”
“Many of them don’t have the opportunity, so whatever happens, by the grace of God, we will still feed the 1,500 that we found if we are able to play football (as usual), we will play it. But one thing is sure, we will still give scholarships this year.”
Founded in 2013, Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation is aimed at generating funds for the Education of intelligent indigent children through the Courage Education Foundation (CEF) and with the mission to transform aid and philanthropy to accelerate community-led change.
